dorrit grew up in los angeles and attended brown university, where she studied literary arts and modern culture and media on the film theory track. she graduated in 2024 with honors in creative writing. dorrit works as an executive assistant to a screenwriter/playwright in new york city and writes everything from television pilots and feature-length scripts to freelance journalism and creative non-fiction. she has bylines in insider, the jewish journal, the jewish women’s archive, and the film journal bright wall/dark room. she also writes a substack called the zest. in her free time she reads, travels, volunteers at elizabeth street garden, and obsessively ranks restaurants on beli. life aspiration: becoming a gen z nora ephron, of sorts.
